Thank you for your interest in helping families in financial need at St. Joseph Mercy Hospital-Ann Arbor, a leader in services for women and children. Created in partnership with the hospital’s Mother-Baby Unit, the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit, the Pediatric Unit, and the Family Advisory Board (whose membership is comprised of current and former SJMH parents), the Gifts for Families in Need program is supported entirely by the generosity of community donors. Families whose children are born or hospitalized on one of these hospital units are the direct beneficiaries of items purchased from selected gift registries. In the spirit of family-centered care, we are pleased to invite the community to browse these registries and make a contribution to support the health and well being of local families in need at a time when they can most use some extra care. Some items might also be used on the unit to help keep our young patients entertained and ease their hospitalization.

Other Items Our Families Can Always Use:
Store Gift Cards: Families who are staying at the hospital can use store gift cards to purchase items they most need while they are away from home. Ideas include Meijer, Target, Kroger, CVS, Walgreens, Wal-Mart, K-Mart, Barnes and Noble, or Visa, American Express, or Mastercard gift cards.
Gas Cards: For many families, getting to and from the hospital becomes prohibitively expensive. Gas cards help families be there to support their children who are in care.
Restaurant Gift Cards: Whether taking a break from the hospital or ordering in, families always appreciate gift cards for food. Chili’s, Applebee’s, Panera Bread, Potbelly Sandwiches, and Dominos Pizza are some of the restaurants near the hospital (and some will even deliver to the hospital). Gift certificates for the hospital’s coffee shop, Joe’s Java, are welcome as well.
Phone Cards: Families need a way to stay in touch with other family and friends back home-phone cards are a great help in assisting with this.
Other Donations:

For the health and safety of children and their families, all donated items need to be brand new, with tags still attached.
Delivery or Drop-off:
All gift cards and merchandise may be sent by package delivery service or personally dropped off at the location below during normal business hours, Monday through Friday, 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.:

A Gift of Cash or a Pledge Made Over Time:
Gifts from our community help us to provide family-centered programs, educational services and activities that help ease a family’s hospital stay, allowing those in our care to focus on their well being as a family.

You may make a gift online by selecting "Making a Gift" from the navigation bar on the left side of this webpage. Be sure to choose Women and Children’s services from the beneficiary drop box and to make a note if you would like a specific unit to receive your donation.
