The Lifeline service offered through St. Joseph Mercy Hospital is an easy to use personal response service. Lifeline ensures that older adults and the disabled are able to continue living independently in their homes. This service ensures quick assistance 24 hours a day throughout the year. The waterproof personal help button can be worn as a wristband or as a pendant around the neck. The personal help button sends a signal and notifies a certified Lifeline monitor that help is needed. Within seconds, the personal response associate assesses the situation and summons the appropriate level of help, whether it is a neighbor, relative, or ambulance.
