Since opening its doors in August, 2002, the Pediatric Surgery division has
enjoyed steady growth. Staffed by the University of Michigan Pediatric Surgery
group, the St. Joe's office in 2005 saw 465 patients between the ages of newborn
and 17, and operated on more than 230 of these children.
The Pediatric Surgery office participates with most major insurances, and accepts
referrals from local pediatricians as well as other health care specialists.
The office is located on the second floor of the Reichert Health Center. Clinic
office hours are Monday through Friday, 8:30 am to 4:00 pm.
Initial visits to the surgeon are for consultation only. Surgery, if needed,
is scheduled at a later date in the Ambulatory Surgery Facility at St. Joseph
Mercy Hospital.
