SJMHS Hires Beth Cafaro to Lead Health Network, Physician Development Work 04/15/2010
ANN ARBOR, Mich. – Beth Cafaro has been appointed the Vice President, Health Networks, Saint Joseph Mercy Health System (SJMHS). As Vice President, Health Networks, Beth will provide leadership for system physician networks and ambulatory operations and will oversee physician recruitment, retention and contracting initiatives. Beth will begin on April 19, 2010.
Beth comes to SJMHS from Henry Ford Health System in Detroit where she has served as the Vice President, Medical Staff Affairs and Physician Practice Development since 2004. In that role, Beth was responsible for strategic planning, the development, implementation and alignment of recruitment and retention strategies of professional staff members for the Henry Ford Medical Group and all other System hospitals. She was also responsible for physician practice development and practice management of private practice and employed physician practices at the seven System affiliated hospitals, physician contracting, provider enrollment, and credentialing services.
Beth’s 20-year career at Henry Ford also included serving as Senior Corporate Counsel and Vice President, Human Resources and Staff Services.
