Free hands-on musical event and health fair offers fun for entire family

SALINE, Mich. – (July 21, 2014) – St. Joseph Mercy Saline, IHA and Ann Arbor Symphony Orchestra have partnered to offer the community a free, fun-filled afternoon with a musical experience for children of all ages.

Music can be an important part of maintaining good health, that's why St. Joe's is sponsoring the area's first Instrument Petting Zoo at its Saline Community Pavilion.

Instruments such as flutes, trumpets and violins will be on hand for attendees to play. In addition, free bike helmets and fittings are available to the first 75 kids in attendance, courtesy of IHA. Mini fitness checks for kids by IHA pediatricians and family medicine physicians will also be available. Light refreshments will be provided.

The Instrument Petting Zoo will take place Thursday, August 21, 2014 from 3-6 p.m. in the Community Pavilion at St. Joseph Mercy Saline, located at 400 W. Russell Street, in Saline.
