We believe cancer care should be centered on the whole patient, not just the cancer itself.
That's why our remarkable patient experience is centered around a multi-disciplinary team approach. In one scheduled visit patients meet with a variety of cancer specialists to fast-track treatment plans and avoid delays by waiting for individual appointments. This way, patients receive a second, third and even fourth opinion in one visit.
Using the most advanced treatments available, the Cancer Specialty Center at St. Joe's offers customized care for these types of cancer:
- Head & Neck
- Lung & Lung Nodule
- and more...
Every patient has a thorough evaluation, which includes meeting our team of experienced cancer specialists, who review each patient's case and recommend an individual treatment plan. Arrangements to start treatment are made immediately. Patients also have access to the latest technology including CyberKnife, advanced daVinci robotic procedures and Mayo Clinic research trials.
Our clinical nurse navigators guide patients through the health system by scheduling necessary tests and appointments. They also connect patients and families to a variety of resources, including: our team of social workers, nutritionists, cancer research nurses, financial consultants and more. To learn more about our Nurse Navigator Program call 734-712-HOPE (4673).
