Michigan's First Senior ER
Saint Joseph Mercy Health System is the first in Michigan to create specialized emergency departments for patients age 65 and up. Staffed by specially trained geriatric (senior) emergency care providers, each Senior ER focuses on care that considers all aspects of your disease, illness or injury in an environment that optimizes your comfort and safety.
Nurses Improving Care for Healthsystem Elders (NICHE)
All six hospitals in our region are nationally recognized for the care we provide seniors through "Nurses Improving Care for Healthsystem Elders (NICHE). This designation demonstrates commitment and continued progress in improving quality, enhancing the patient and family experience, and supporting the hospital's efforts to serve their communities.
Behavioral Health for Seniors
We offer a variety of behavioral health services to meet specific needs of older patients and their families and address the physical, psychological and social aspects of well-being. Services include inpatient, outpatient, and day treatment programs and a specialized older adult substance abuse program.
HomeCare Services support patients who need care or assistance at home.

Our team of specialists works collaboratively with you and your family to produce the best possible outcome after an illness or injury. Our highly skilled and experienced clinicians offer services in both inpatient and outpatient settings in multiple locations, including Ann Arbor, Brighton Canton, Chelsea, Howell, Livonia, Oakland and Port Huron.
