Watch Discover Remarkable: At the Heart of Medicine's episode about Sleep Apnea.
Sleep is more than just "time-out" from our daily lives. A good night's sleep is as necessary for good health and well being as diet and exercise. Unfortunately, for more than half of all Americans, a good night's sleep is difficult or even impossible to obtain.
St. Joseph Mercy Ann Arbor Sleep Disorders Center is dedicated to helping patients by providing a state of the art comprehensive program for the diagnosis and treatment of sleep disorders. Our newly renovated facility was designed to house the latest in computer controlled sleep diagnostic equipment in a comfortable environment. We provide the latest in overnight, private "in laboratory" studies as well as "home" studies.
We are focused on the diagnosis of narcolepsy, pediatric sleep issues, restless leg syndrome, sleep apnea and other disorders that can affect a patient's quality of life, and, if left untreated, could result in much more serious medical conditions.
Our comprehensive program is accredited by the American Academy of Sleep Medicine. Our Medical Director, Thomas R. Gravelyn, MD is a Board Certified Sleep Specialist. Every member of the sleep staff is certified or in pursuit of certification through the Board of Registered Polysomnographic Technicians.
