HMR Weight Loss

Lose twice the weight in half the time, without feeling hungry!  With oversight from a physician, this program uses low-calorie, nutritionally complete entrees, shakes, and snacks for rapid weight loss.  Includes intensive lifestyle coaching for long-term health and weight management. Nutrition Counseling for Weight Loss

Develop healthier eating habits to lose weight and improve your overall health.  Meet one-on one with a registered dietitian and learn how the foods you eat affect your health. Work together during one or more visits to achieve your health goals. Often covered by insurance, especially with physician referral.

  • Setting gradual change goals for long-term success

ShapeDown Weight Management for Children and Teens

Learn together as a family how healthy eating, an active lifestyle and effective communication promote healthy weight and family well-being.   • Emphasis on healthy eating rather than dieting
  • Sessions for parents to learn positive role modeling techniques
  • Emphasis on improving the child’s overall self-esteem

Chronic Disease Management

Center for Diabetes

Learn to manage Type I, Type 2, or Pre-Diabetes so you can enjoy a full and active life!  Through a combination of individual and group education, our Certified Diabetes Educators will teach you about diabetes and show you how to care for your health.  Family members and other support people are encouraged to attend, to help you maintain healthy diabetes self-care practices. This program will help you:

  • Understand diabetes and how it affects your body
  • See how nutrition, exercise and medication can help control blood sugar
  • Learn how to check your blood sugar
  • Plan nutritious meals
  • Control your weight
  • Learn how to use insulin
  • Prevent diabetes complications
  • Plan for pregnancy, or manage care during pregnancy
  • Learn about insulin pump therapy

Nutrition Education

Develop healthier eating habits to lower you blood pressure or cholesterol, control your diabetes, lose weight, or manage a health condition affected by nutrition. In group classes or one-on-one with a registered dietitian:

  • Learn how the foods you eat affect your health
  • Learn how to make healthy food choices in a variety of settings
  • Gain skills for cooking healthy meals

  • Learn how to cook for special diets, such as gluten-free
